When I first started practicing, I saw arpeggios as a sort of magic trick: just identify the backing harmony or chord, play the corresponding arpeggio, and you’d always sound fantastic!
But my approach has evolved. Now, I enjoy mixing in extensions, chromatics, and blues licks within or between my arpeggios.
