This high-gain lead rig is crafted to inspire those classic "quacky" Strat tones — perfect for Mark Knopfler inspired fingerstyle picking or any expressive playing.
Built on the clean channel of a M*** *****e Mark V, it uses the Tweed voicing with the Bold switch for added punch. Tone shaping is done before the amp with a Friedman BE-OD for a touch of grit, paired with an EGO Compressor set to parallel compression. This carefully blended setup enhances that signature quack while keeping the dynamic attack sharp and responsive.
To ensure you get the exact tone I do, the profile is captured with my go-to IR/Cab simulation, recreating the sound precisely as you hear it in my studio.
As always, my Kemper rig is pre-loaded with my favorite built-in Kemper Reverb, Delay, and stompboxes—ensuring you get an amazing sound straight out of the box.
